Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service

RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service)

The new Fair Lawn Radio Emergency Service organization originally called The Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club was founded in the spring of 1961 making it one of the oldest radio organizations in Northern New Jersey. The club is a general interest radio organization, but The Fair Lawn Radio Emergency Service organization during its 46-year history has always been dedicated to helping our community and our country when needed in times of crisis. Through Fair Lawn OEM, the Fair Lawn Radio Emergency Service organization has always been considered part of the Borough's Emergency Services. Many of our members are also RACES members and CERT members (Community Emergency Response Team).

Membership is open to any person interested in Amateur Radio whether they are licensed or not.  Please e-mail dgotlib@fairlawn.org.
