BINGO
We sometimes offer a “Specialty Bingo” on select days following lunch. We are always in need of loud and clear callers to happily volunteer their time. Often we celebrate some National-yet-obscure Day. Play is free and a two-card minimum.

BRIDGE CLUB
Our Bridge Club is a weekly activity thanks to the time and effort of our Volunteer leader, Eleanor Coles. The sessions are geared to former players and those with the knowledge of bridge. Certain guidelines must be adhered to: 13 points with 5-card major or better minor to open; 15-17 points No Trump opener; 7-card Pre-empt; weak 2's, blackwood, etc. In consideration of the other players at your table, please try to stay as close to Noon as possible, especially if there is no one else available to fill in. A quiet atmosphere is encouraged. There is no registration for this program.

CANASTA
Come and join fellow players and enjoy and afternoon of canasta. This is a self sustaining program so you can watch, learn and play.

COLORAMA
What once was an activity that kept so many of us entertained as children, is now resurfacing as a trend adults are coming to love. Therapeutic elements parents sought to keep their children calm or entertained before dinner, are now being applied to adults, to help distract them from the daily pressures of life. This free, weekly program is led by volunteer Daisy Santana and all supplies will be provided.

CRAFTERNOONS
These workshops include coloring, embellishing, decorating and designing - anything that has to do with creativity and crafts. Advanced registration is necessary for each workshop. Space and supplies are usually limited and most sessions are free of charge.

CROCHET CLUB
People who crochet can now gather to meet new people, learn more about this wonderful fiber art form, and share their love and dedication to the art and craft of crochet and knitting. Mary Elle Lai has volunteered to lead this group aptly named ‘The Happy Hookers’.

MAHJONGG
Do you know what these words have in common: flowers, bams, dots and craks? If you do, then you know Mah Jongg! This ancient Chinese game comes to the Fair Lawn Senior Center every Thursday. This is a self sustaining program so you can watch, learn and play.

MEMOIRS CLASS
The Fair Lawn Senior Center offers “Who Wants to be a Memoirist?”, a free writing and discussion group for people who want to record their life story, the times they lived in, anecdotes and memories for their families to treasure. If you are interested in joining this ongoing group, led by volunteer Cindy Blauschild, bring a loose-leaf binder, a pen and a short outline telling about the family you were born. Memoirs can be funny or angry or anything in between. Come write and share your life experiences with others in a nurturing environment.

New releases, favorite movies, travelogs, as well as films of an educational and informational nature are shown. Suggestions, requests and recommendations for movie titles or themes are always welcome. Throwback Thursdays for older movies have also been added in every month!

SENIOR VIEW
If you like watching "The View," Wendy Williams or Late Night shows where "Hot Topics " are discussed, then you will definitely enjoy taking part in the lively discussions of “The ‘NEW’ Senior View,” moderated by Volunteer Cindy Blauschild. All are welcome to participated and express their personal views.

SPEAKERS
The Fair Lawn Senior Center wants to keep its participants informed and educated on the latest health and general topics pertinent to their lifestyles. We therefore provide impartial professionals from the town, county and state levels for lecture and discussion at least once a month. Most importantly, we cater to speakers who have something new, interesting and different to share. These lectures are always free of charge and open to the public.
TINK GROUP
Tink is knit spelled backwards, and it refers to undoing one stitch at a time. This is a safe way to undo your knitting because if you do it correctly, you won't drop a stitch. TINK is also a group of knitters and crocheters who like to learn and share their knitting and stories. Join the fun with volunteer leader Jane Levine.

WORKSHOPS
Several times during the year we offer one-day or consecutive week courses. These educational workshops and health and wellness programs are free of charge and anyone over 60 is welcome to participate. Advance registration of each of these workshops are usually necessary because class sizes are limited.
