Borough of Fair Lawn Home Improvement Program
The Borough of Fair Lawn Home Improvement Program (HIP) provides grants in the form of interest free forgivable loans of up to $25,000 for eligible home improvements for low- and moderate-income households that meet the qualifications shown below. The Borough is opening its waiting list and encourages eligible resident homeowners to apply. Program requirements and information regarding applying to the Program are included below.
Eligible home improvements include but are not limited to the following building systems and components:
● Heating and cooling
● Electrical
● Plumbing (Including wells & septic)
● Roof, leaders, gutters, etc.
● Exterior siding
● Windows, doors
● Insulation
● Load bearing structural systems such as foundation repair
● And more!
If you live in the Borough of Fair Lawn, own your home, and your total gross annual household income is lower than the income limit for your household size, as shown in the table below, you may be eligible to participate in the Program. Please note that the income limits are updated annually.
