Deputy Mayor Cristina Cutrone

Deputy Mayor Cristina Cutrone was appointed to Fair Lawn’s Borough’s Council in 2017 and elected to the position in 2018. Cristina has been a public school educator for 18 years. She currently is the Social Studies Department Chairperson at Tenafly High School. She is also an active member of the Tenafly Education Association where she serves as their Vice President. Cristina previously served as a trustee to the Bergen County Board of Education for Special Services. She is also the co-founder and president of a grassroots organization called WE DO (Women Empowered Democratic Organization) whose mission is to support women to run for office or to become involved in local public service.

Deputy Mayor Cutrone was appointed by Governor Murphy to the North Jersey Water Supply Commission in 2022. 

Cristina holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in Government and Politics and Secondary Education and a master’s degree from New Jersey City University in Educational Leadership. 

Deputy Mayor Cutrone is married and has two young children, a boy and a girl.
