Public Training Classes
Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps trainers hold classes for the public periodically throughout the year. The Corps charges a nominal fee to cover class materials and completion cards. All classes are held at Corps Headquarters:

Heartsaver Adult/Child/Infant CPR & Defibrillation
The sooner that CPR is started and an AED (defibrillator) is applied to a patient in cardiac arrest, the greater their chances for survival! You are more likely to do CPR on someone that you know than on a stranger.
The skills learned in this course will help you recognize cardiac arrest, get emergency care on the way quickly and help a person until EMS arrives. The cost of the class is $35.00 per person to cover the Corps costs.

First Aid Classes
This course covers first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.

Health Care Provider CPR (Adult /Child / Infant)
Professional rescuer, also known as HCP or Health Care Provider CPR, classes are available upon request at a cost per student that will be determined by the size of the class, date and time. Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.
