Rinze Lowe was a dedicated member of Fire Company No. 1 for over 15 years. He was a former Captain and a member of the Exempt Firefighter’s Association. He resided in the Borough for over 30 years.
Firefighter Lowe was tragically killed, in the line of duty, during an incident at a residence on 5th Street in which an oil burner backfired sending smoke throughout the structure. Firefighter Lowe exited the structure and collapsed as he was overcome by the smoke and succumbed to his injures.
