[Fair Lawn] Recycling Program Expands List of Acceptable Plastics

The Fair Lawn Recycling Division is proud to announce that more types of
plastics can now be collected with your commingle (bottles & cans)
recycling. Please rinse and place the acceptable items in your commingle
barrel and at the curb on your designated days. Due to recent changes in
recycling market availability, the following plastics will now be collected:

Plastic bottles, jars, tubs and buckets labeled #1 - #7. 
Examples include: soda, water, milk, juice, liquor, shampoo, detergent &
condiment bottles, yogurt containers, margarine containers, pet food
containers, etc. 

This expanded program does not include any type plastic that is not a
container or bottle. Examples of excluded products include plastic toys,
plastic bags, PVC piping or fencing.

If you have any questions regarding this change to the program, please call
the Recycling Office at 201-794-5366 or e-mail recycling at fairlawn.org. You
may download a flyer from our recycling market that outlines the materials
that they accept as part of the recycling program.
