[Fair Lawn] Memorial Day Holiday Schedule

The following services are affected due to the Memorial Day holiday on
Monday, May 26. 

Borough Hall closed.
Senior Center closed.
Community Center closed.
Recycling Center closed.
No recycling collection. Paper in section 5 is moved to Tuesday, May 27.
Section 1 & 5 will not have yard waste collected on Tuesday.
No garbage collection. Sections 3 and 4 will have garbage collection on
Tuesday, May 27.

Parade Information: 
The Recreation/Parks Departemnt has announced that the Memorial Day Parade
is scheduled for Monday, May 26, 2008. The parade will assemble on Pollitt
Drive, where access from Carlton Road to Pollitt Drive will not be permitted
from 9:30 AM to Noon. All side streets that lead to access to the following
roads will be closed. Pollitt Drive to Fair Lawn Avenue to River Road to
Berdan Avenue to Avenue of Heroes. Those roads will be reopened after the
parade concludes. 

The parade will begin at 10:30 AM from Pollitt Drive to Fair Lawn Avenue to
River Road to Berdan Avenue to Avenue of Heroes in Memorial Park. Ceremonies
will follow at the circle at the Avenue of Heroes after the parade
concludes. 

All parade participants must assemble on Pollitt Drive by 9:30 AM as the
roads will be closed by 9:45 AM. Participants must enter from Route 208
north to McBride Avenue to Pollitt Drive where a check point system will be
used. There will be a separate assembly site for boys/girls who have
registered with the Recreation Department.
