[Fair Lawn] Construction Material Collection

The Borough of Fair Lawn's garbage contractor, Cali Carting, will be
accepting small amounts of construction material during the week of May 5th.
Residents may place out up to 4 barrels (240 lb. equivalent) on their
regular garbage day during this special collection. 

Construction material includes items like cabinets, countertops, ceiling and
floor tiles, lumber, windows, doors, toilets, vanities, sheet rock, paneling
and plywood. Items must be placed in a barrel or secured in such a way that
one person can lift them into the truck. 

The construction collection does NOT include any recyclable (including metal
or electronics), brick, block, concrete, asphalt, stone, dirt, rocks or
hazardous materials (including paint, varnish or stain). 
Materials that are in excess of the limit or are not included in the
collection will be left at the curb and will remain the responsibility of
the homeowner.

The next and final construction collection for 2008 will be held in October.
