The Mayor and Council announce that the 2008 volunteer litter clean ups will
be held on April 26, May 17, June 21 and September 13 from 8:45 AM to Noon.
Volunteers are needed to assist in collecting litter from various locations
in the Borough of Fair Lawn. Volunteers will assemble at the Fair Lawn
Recycling Office, located at 20-05 Saddle River Road, at 8:45 AM on the
designated dates. The Recycling Division will supply safety vests, gloves,
garbage bags and food for the volunteers.

Transportation to the clean up locations is provided to all volunteers
thanks to the Fair Lawn Health Department mini-bus. Volunteers are required
to register for the event by calling 201-794-5366 or e-mailing their name
and phone number to litter at fairlawn.org to assure enough seating on the bus.
In the case of inclement weather, volunteers will be notified by phone the
morning of the event if the clean up has been canceled.

Volunteers attending any of the clean up days will receive community service
credit towards their high school graduation or religious institution
requirements.

The Borough of Fair Lawn is a proud participant of the New Jersey Clean
