News & Notes for Fair Lawn residents:

Borough Holiday - Monday September 4th
- Borough Hall, Recycling Center, Community Center and Senior Center are 
closed.
- No garbage collection. Next collection on Thursday, September 7th.
- No recycling collection. Paper/cardboard collection for section 5 
moves to Saturday, September 9th.
- No mini-bus service.

Litter Clean Up day - Saturday, September 9th
The Recycling Division will be holding its final litter clean of 2006 on 
Saturday, September 9th from 9:00 AM to Noon. Volunteers are supplied 
with gloves, bags and breakfast. Volunteers are required to register by 
calling the Recycling Division at 201-794-5366. Please meet at the 
Recycling Office, 20-05 Saddle River Road at 8:45 AM.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection - Saturday, September 9th
The BCUA will be holding a household hazardous waste collection at the 
Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute, 281 Campgaw Rd., Mahwah, NJ 
from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This program is free of charge to Bergen County 
residents and proof of residency is required. For more information call

Garbage Returns to Once Per Week - Week of September 11th
Fair Lawn garbage collection will return to once per week collection 
during the week of September 11th. Consult your recycling handbook for 
the correct day for your section.

Compost Bin Sale - Saturday, September 16th
The BCUA will be holding a compost bin (Earth machine) sale on Saturday, 
September 16th at the BCUA, Foot of Empire Boulevard, Moonachie from 
9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Compost bins are $37.00 each and payable by check or 
money order only.
