[Fair Lawn] Tax Revaluation Information Meeting Set

TAX REVALUATION INFORMATION MEETING SET FOR APRIL 20, 2006
The Borough of Fair Lawn will be conducting a complete revaluation of 
all properties in the Borough for the tax year 2007. The purpose of the 
revaluation is to determine the “fair market value” as of October 1, 
2006 of each property. The revaluation process is required under law to 
ensure a fair and equitable distribution of the tax burden among all 
property owners.

The Borough of Fair Lawn has engaged the firm of Realty Appraisal 
Company to assist the Tax Assessor in accomplishing this revaluation. 
Realty Appraisal Company is a firm highly skilled in mass appraisal 
techniques, with over fifty years of experience.

A representative of Realty Appraisal Company will be speaking at a 
general information meeting on the subject of revaluation on April 20, 
2006 at 8:00 p.m. in the Court Room located on the second floor of the 
Municipal Building. A short presentation with regards to the revaluation 
process will be followed by a question and answer session. Any Fair Lawn 
property owner who has any questions or concerns about the upcoming 
revaluation is urged to attend.
