[Fair Lawn] Yard Waste Recycling Reminders

Yesterday the Fair Lawn Recycling Division started yard waste 
collection. There appears to be some confusion regarding the regulations 
for yard waste collection. Please review the regulations listed below so 
we can properly collect your materials.

- Barrels / Bags may not weigh more than 40 pounds.
- NO plastic bags.
- NO commingle recycling barrels to be used. They are for commingle 
recycling collection only and will not be collected with any other 
materials inside.
- Only branches up to 3 foot in length and up to 3 inches in diameter 
will be collected when tied in bundles. Larger materials, including 
logs, may be brought to the recycling center.
- Recyclables must be at the curb by 6 AM for collection. If you put it 
out later, you run the risk of missing the collection.

NOTE: The Recycling Office will be open Saturday, April 8th from 9 AM to 
1 PM. Residents needing construction tickets, recycling handbooks, paper 
decals, information or to exchange a damaged recycling barrel may do so 
during this time.
