[Fair Lawn] New Garbage Contractor - June 1, 2004

Starting on Tuesday, June 1, 2004, the Borough of Fair Lawn will have a 
new garbage contractor. Calie Carting of Kearny, NJ will be taking over 
garbage collection, replacing Waste Management. Waste Management was 
awarded an emergency contract after our previous hauler, HC Container 
Systems went bankrupt.

Residents are reminded:
* Have patience with the new contracter as they learn the routes. 
Garbage will probably be collected at a different time than you are used to.
* All garbage must be at the curb by 6 AM the day of your scheduled 
collection. It may be placed out after 6 PM the night before your 
collection.
* Cardboard is prohibited from being used as a container for garbage and 
will not be collected.
* Metal and electronics are recyclable and will not be collected with 
garbage. You may call the Recycling office to schedule an appointment 
for collection.
