“UNBELIEVABLE” presented by Skyline Theatre Company
Premier of an Original Musical Production
New Jersey Theatre Alliance 2019 Stages Festival
Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 7 pm
Be an integral part of the development of a brand new show at this world premiere presentation!  This is a FREE performance of an original musical with a cast of New York and New Jersey professionals followed by a “talk back” with the creators and cast.  On April 1, 1931, a 17-year-old Jackie Mitchell struck out two of the greatest New York Yankees: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.  Signed by Joe Engel “the P.T. Barnum of Baseball” to a contract with the Chattanooga Lookouts, controversy surrounds the legend.  Did she really do it?  Or was it just a stunt?  The musical UNBELIEVABLE.  Music by Rachel Devore Fogarty, Lyrics by Kevin Fogarty and Book by John Devore.  Directed by Skyline Artistic Director, Sam Scalamoni.  For information and ticket reservations call 800-474-1299 or visit www.skylinetheatrecompany.org.

Friday & Saturday evenings at 8 pm
Sunday matinees at 2 pm.
Charity Hope Valentine just wants to be loved. Charity is a taxi dancer, a dance partner-for-hire at a seedy dance hall in New York City. Though the job may be decidedly undesirable, Charity’s hopeful romanticism and unfailing optimism lift her out of her circumstances and help her reach for a life beyond. In the past, she’s been strung along and hung out to dry by a series of bad relationships and lousier men. When she meets Oscar a neurotic, shy actuary seemingly from another world, will she finally find true love at last? “HMS Pinafore” presented by
Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company
Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 2:30 pm
Since its premiere in 1878, Gilbert and Sullivan’s wildly popular operetta H.M.S. Pinafore has delighted audiences with a nautically-tinged story of star-crossed lovers. Set on a ship, this show explores the relationship between Josephine, the Captain’s daughter, and Ralph, a lower-class sailor. Social class becomes an obstacle for the pair as Josephine’s father attempts to marry her to the First Lord of the Admiralty. Will his mind be changed when he finds himself in a similar position, when Buttercup, a nanny, falls in love with him? A rollicking farce with endearing characters, memorable tunes, and a hilariously happy ending, H.MS Pinafore is a classic, time-tested delight not to be missed.
